Selling Sunset star and real estate agent, Maya Vander, is a fan-favourite and well-adorned member of the hit show. Maya is tenacious, strategic and a "natural-born negotiatior", making sure that she puts her clients' needs first. She is a mother to two children, a son (Aiden) and a daughter (Elle) who are her pride and joy. Maya Vander is an original cast member of the Netflix show Selling Sunset, with a keen sense of humour, calm nature and exotic background.
Maya Vander: The Early Years
Maya Vander was born in 1988 and grew up in Israel. Maya's mother is Israeli, her father is Dutch, and she is of Jewish faith. She can speak Hebrew, Dutch and English fluently, making her accent both unique and endearing.
Whilst her childhood was not the most luxurious, Maya expresses she had a very happy one. This gave her the oomph to strive for her dreams and work hard to achieve them. She was a basketball fan, and supported her local team "Hapoel Eilat" who played weekly.
Maya originally planned on becoming a model when she was 20 years old, moving to Amsterdam to pursue her career. However, she moved to LA (California) in 2002, and immediately set up her new life there in real estate.

The talented real estate agent landed a job at the prestigious Oppenheim Group based in Los Angeles when she was 22 years old. The Oppenheim Group is a prestigious real estate brokerage company that markets luxury properties led by twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim. It's so bougie that it became a hit Netflix series "Selling Sunset" in 2019.
Maya Vander works alongside other Selling Sunset co-stars Mary Fitzgerald, Christine Quinn, Davina Potratz, Chrishell Stause and Romain Bonnet. Out of the group, Maya Vander is the more rational and calm, often more the wallflower when it comes to the popcorn-filled drama of the reality show.
Big News on Selling Sunset Season Two
In Selling Sunset season two, Maya Vander announced to the team that she's pregnant. Maya was initially reluctant to share the happy news due to the fact that she suffered two miscarriages previously. Thankfully, the reality star welcomed her first child to the world in May 2020, a baby boy, Aiden, and she received several congratulatory messages from her friends and co-stars.
Maya Vander is a self-confessed workaholic and was still visiting construction sites even whilst sporting a 6-month baby bump. In the third season of Selling Sunset, Maya got her real estate license and founded her own company called The Maya Vander Group, which aims to "match the perfect property with the perfect buyer".

Maya has lived all over the world, such as the Netherlands, Spain and Singapore, gaining more cultural appreciation along the way. Maya Vander's husband lives in Miami (Florida), so she splits her time between LA and Miami to spend time with her family.

Because this real estate agent frequently travels between Florida and LA, Maya now also works at the Douglas Elliman Real Estate group (based in Florida) so that she can work two jobs part-time. Maya Vander is clearly passionate about real estate, having spent the last decade honing her skills.
Family Life
Miss Vander keeps a lot of her personal life private, including the identity of her husband. Whilst the Vander family is regularly pictured together on Instagram, Maya's husband's name remains a secret. Maya gave birth to baby number one in May 2020, then had a secret baby a year later, to her adorable daughter Elle. She recently shared a photo announcing her third pregnancy on Instagram, so her third child is due in December.
