Scott Capurro is a comedian, actor, and writer from San Francisco. He has appeared in a wide range of films, television shows, and stage productions throughout his diverse career. Scott Capurro: Early Life and Comedy Career
Capurro was born in San Francisco on 10 December 1962, and earned a Bachelor's degree from UC Irvine, California. He also studied at Birmingham University in the UK.
Capurro's comedy breakthrough came when he won the prestigious Perrier Award for Best Newcomer in 1994 for his solo stand-up show Risk Gay, performed at The Edinburgh Fringe. He has returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on multiple occasions with shows: The Doctor Is On, Brian Souffle, Fowl Play, Loaded, and Scott Capurro Goes Deeper.
San Francisco Weekly once praised Scott's talents in stand-up comedy as "stand-up in the very best possible sense – deadpan, ever-alert and hilarious". Capurro performs regularly at various comedy clubs around the world, including San Francisco's Punchline, Toronto's Yuk Yuks, and London's Comedy Store.
Scott Capurro in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and Mrs Doubtfire
In 1999, Capurro had a role in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. One of its most famous scenes sees the young Anakin Skywalker (decades before he became Darth Vader) storm to victory in a critical pod race. Two aliens humorously commentate on the event: Beed Annodue and Fode, voiced by Capurro and Greg Proops, respectively.
Initially, Capurro and Proops were intended to appear in full alien prosthetics and makeup, but their characters eventually became fully CGI. Capurro voiced Beed again in the video game Star - Racer and Star Wars: Anakin's Speedway. Capurro also appeared in another hit movie of the 1990s: Mrs Doubtfire. He played Jack, who helps create the prosthetics and costume for Daniel Hillard's Mrs Doubtfire alter-ego.
Scott Capurro TV Appearances
Capurro has appeared on TV screens dozens of times since the mid-1990s. The San Francisco-born comedian has featured in everything from Channel 4's infamous The Word to The Wright Stuff and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
Capurro has made multiple appearances on the comedy panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, Sam Delaney's News Thing, and the Channel 5 talk show Jeremy Vine. He presented the BBC’s That Gay Show from 2001 to 2002, and Channel 4’s The Truth About Gay Animals in 2002.
The Truth About Gay Animals saw Capurro explore the concept of homosexual animals and meet people who work with captive animals, who reported to demonstrate homosexual behaviour. During the programme, Capurro interviewed anti-gay rights campaigner Janet Young: Capurro showed Young video evidence of animals that exhibit homosexual behaviour, including female-female mating attempts.
As an actor, Capurro performed in two episodes of the popular 1990s crime series Nash Bridges, starring Don Johnson and Cheech Marin. He has worked with numerous theatre companies and theatres, including The Magic Theatre in San Francisco, the Beverly Hills Playhouse, and London's New Arts Theatre.

No, we will never process the payment until the order has been completed. When you initially book your video message, a hold for the total amount is placed on your account. This is only processed and authorised once the celebrity has completed the order. If it is not completed for any reason, your money will be released back to you.

Performance package: If you want the talent to carry out a performance, for example, to sing a particular song, and it is still for personal use, then please select the ‘performance’ package.
Business shout-out: If you are a business and would like either of the above, for an endorsement or congratulate an employee then select either the ‘business shout out’ or ‘business performance’ package.
